Hugo Brand Ambassador Program: Terms & Conditions

1. How it Works

To begin the acceptance process, you must be a US resident and submit a complete and accurate program application. We will evaluate your application and notify you of its acceptance or rejection. If accepted, you can earn income by referring customers to our site, and having them redeem your unique ambassador coupon code. When a customer referred by you uses your coupon code and purchases items on our site, our system records the referral and you will receive a percentage of the net purchase amount.

The percentage amount earned will vary based on particular coupon codes and promotions to be run throughout the year. The coupon codes used to track referrals have expiry dates. Referred purchases made after expired dates receive no earnings.

Every Hugo brand ambassador also has a unique ambassador ID which is used to identify and review purchases to your account. Your ambassador ID is available on your ambassador page where you will find your performance stats, and additional resources.

Your use of our brand ambassador program is subject to a fair use policy which gives us the right to review every referral. Referrals that have been recorded for refunded or canceled orders are rejected, and earnings from those purchases are excluded from your quarterly payouts.

We normally process earnings within 15 days of the end of the quarter (Q1 to Q4). Payouts for your earnings require a valid PayPal account; otherwise they will be processed by physical cheque and may take some additional time to deliver.

2. Things You Can’t Do

You may not act in any way that might be confusing or misleading, or intentionally deceptive, to promote our site or our products. You may not act in any way that does not meet our standards for behavior set at our discretion. For example, do not try to fraud or mislead customers. Lastly, do not deploy or design any artifacts that could be used to fraud, confuse or mislead customers.

You may not breach any laws to promote our site and products. This includes any act of breach of privacy or intellectual property. We reserve the right to decide whether or not your participation in our brand ambassador program complies with any applicable laws and/or these terms and conditions.

You may not promote our brand in any site that also contains sexually explicit materials, violent materials, defamatory materials, discriminatory materials, and generally any material you would need to stop and think twice about.

You may not distribute your unique brand ambassador coupon code to aggregate sites. In addition, you may not send unsolicited emails or distribute messages in any way which may constitute spam.

You may not use our branded elements, trademarks, intellectual property, design elements or copyrighted material from our site unless you have our written confirmation. You must contact us before using any elements and unless we respond with a confirmation, you should assume that permission to do so has been denied. However, you will find we are usually willing to support you.

If we find that your participation in our brand ambassador program does not meet these terms, we will withhold your earnings and disable or terminate your account. We make the final decision on whether or not your use of our program is in breach with our terms or any applicable laws. Failure to abide by these terms and conditions voids your affiliate membership and any outstanding payments.

3. Things You Can Do

You may write blog posts or post on social media about our products, and areas of interest. Note that you can link to any page on our site, so you can also promote specific products by linking to the appropriate product page. For example, you can include a post on your Facebook timeline or a tweet on Twitter, etc… in fact this is encouraged.

You may include your unique brand ambassador code within your blog or social media post, so long as it is not done in a matter that is considered spam. For example, you cannot simply leave your coupon code in as many comment replies or PMs as possible. If uncertain, feel free to ask us.

You must ensure that the information in your account, including your email address and other contact information, is at all times accurate and up-to-date. We may send notifications and other communications relating to the brand ambassador program and this agreement to the email associated with your account. You will be deemed to have received all notifications, approvals, and other communications sent to that email address, even if the email address associated with your account is no longer current.

Lastly, you may hand out as many physical coupon print-outs as you like.
