Did you know that a portion of sales of Hugo products goes toward supporting the MS Society of Canada? Since the start of the program we`ve raised over $65,000. These proceeds are used for research, and to improve the daily lives of people with disabilities.

What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system which is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The disease attacks the protective covering wrapped around the nerves of the central nervous system, called the myelin. Symptoms can include problems with balance and dizziness, which put people at risk for falls. A walking cane can help people overcome balance problems. Make sure that a trained professional assists with the instruction of a walking aid to insure proper gait alignment. An in home occupational therapy assessment for safety can help identify potential dangers and to recommend strategies to make daily living safer. Adapting the home with shower stools and safety hand rails can add to a safer environment for people experiencing these problems.
